11+ in Bournemouth and Poole

Entrance exams can be stressful, particularly for learners with Specific Learning Differences such as Dyslexia. As a Specialist Dyslexia Teacher and an experienced Primary Teacher, I have the skills and knowledge to make a difference.

In Bournemouth and Poole, the 11+ is an optional academic assessment taken by students in September of their final year of primary school.

The test is used as part of the selection process for admission to the area’s four grammar schools: Bournemouth School, Bournemouth School for Girls, Parkstone Grammar School and Poole Grammar School.

It includes tests created by GL Assessment in Verbal Reasoning, Mathematics and English. Free familiarisation materials are available on the GL website.
